BIMM University appoints Professor Victoria O’Donnell as Chief Academic Officer
BIMM University, the University for the Creative Industries, has appointed Professor Victoria (Vicki) O’Donnell as Chief Academic Officer. Vicki joins on 3rd November 2025 and will lead the next phase of BIMM’s academic development across its portfolio of specialist schools.
Vicki joins from NCUK, where she has served as Chief Academic Officer since 2023. During her time there, she helped shape the organisation’s academic direction, strengthened assessment and quality assurance processes, and oversaw the development and launch of a record number of new programmes. She also led the creation of a new Learning and Teaching Strategy, setting a strong foundation for sustainable academic growth.
Before NCUK, Vicki was Deputy Provost and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Arden University, providing academic leadership for more than 24,000 students across the UK and internationally. Her remit spanned learning, teaching, assessment, staff development, student support and library services, alongside a strong focus on innovation in digital education and curriculum design.
With a career dedicated to advancing student experience and academic quality, Vicki brings extensive expertise in higher education leadership and a proven record of driving meaningful change.
