BIMM University Vice Chancellor Appointed to GuildHE Board
BIMM University is pleased to announce that its Vice Chancellor and CEO, Olivier Robert-Murphy, has been elected to the Board of GuildHE, one of the UK’s recognised representative bodies for higher education.
Olivier will begin his three-year term as an elected Board member in September 2026, joining GuildHE at a significant moment for the higher education sector as institutions navigate financial pressures, policy reform and changing student expectations.
The appointment reflects BIMM University’s growing influence within the higher education sector and provides an opportunity to help shape national conversations around creative education, skills development and student outcomes.
GuildHE represents around 70 diverse higher education providers across the UK, including specialist institutions known for delivering industry-focused education, innovation and skills development. Its members play a vital role in supporting sectors that are critical to the UK’s economic and cultural success.
As one of the world’s leading providers of creative arts education, BIMM University is committed to ensuring students develop the skills, experience and industry connections needed to build successful careers in music, film, performing arts, creative technology and related industries. Olivier’s appointment will help ensure the interests of specialist creative institutions and their students continue to be represented at a national level.

Prior to joining BIMM University, Olivier built a distinguished career across the music, entertainment and education sectors, including senior leadership roles at Universal Music Group and Universal Pictures, before serving as CEO of Spitfire Audio. His appointment to the GuildHE Board further strengthens BIMM University’s contribution to discussions around the future of higher education and the role of universities in supporting the UK’s creative economy.
