BIMM University welcomes Fiona Tyler and David Rowe to Executive Management Group
BIMM University is proud to announce the addition of two esteemed professionals, Fiona Tyler and David Rowe, to its Executive Management Group, further strengthening the university’s leadership team.
David Rowe – Pro Vice-Chancellor, Music
David Rowe has joined BIMM as the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Music. With an illustrious 25-year career in the music industry, David’s journey began after graduating from Goldsmiths College. He started his career at the Ministry of Sound, where his passion for music and talent took him around the world as a DJ and into the role of a label manager for independent producers.
David’s career includes ten years at EMI, where he held various senior executive positions spanning creative, marketing, and commercial functions, including the position of Vice President of Global Campaigns. After EMI, David embarked on a new chapter at Universal Music, where he served as the Managing Director of the catalogue division, overseeing A&R, commerce, and deal-making.
Throughout his career, David has collaborated with legendary artists such as The Who, Pink Floyd and Elton John, gaining a profound understanding of the intricacies of the modern music business. In addition to his industry work, David is recognised for his non-executive contributions, supporting the use of music in the treatment of dementia and advocating for educational trusts that promote community learning.
Fiona Tyler – Chief Financial Officer
Fiona Tyler assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer at BIMM University, bringing with her an impressive background in financial management, reporting, control, and management accounts. With over two decades of senior finance experience, Fiona has successfully navigated a diverse range of commerce and industry sectors, including insurance, banking, and logistics. Her extensive financial acumen and strategic insights will be instrumental in steering BIMM’s financial stewardship towards continued growth and success.
David and Fiona’s combined expertise will play a pivotal role in advancing BIMM’s purpose and vision. Their wealth of knowledge and experience will undoubtedly contribute to the institution’s ongoing success and position BIMM as the leading university for the creative industries.
